Yogurt has been around for thousands of years, but it wasn't until the 1970s that vendors started selling frozen yogurt. Frozen yogurt has become so popular that it has its own holiday. That's right: National Frozen Yogurt Day is coming up on February 6. All you need to do to celebrate is stop by a frozen yogurt shop and order your favorite flavor! 1. Sundaes: 1074 NY-112, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776
   Sundaes is a great place to stop if you're looking at Port Jefferson homes for sale nearby. They carry Hershey's ice cream along with custom-made frozen yogurt. Grab a cup, and walk from dispenser to dispenser, filling it with your favorite flavors and toppings.
   
   Sundaes has classic fro-yo flavors, like vanilla and chocolate, and some creative choices, like blackberry and cheesecake. Their toppings bar has more than 50 options.
   
   
2. Yogurt Fancy: 737 Fort Salonga Rd., Northport, NY 11768
   Yogurt Fancy is another self-serve frozen yogurt shop. Their yogurt contains only 25 calories per ounce, making it a low-guilt dessert option. They also have lots of healthy selections at their toppings bar. Vanilla frozen yogurt topped with blueberries and raspberries can be so refreshing.
   
   Yogurt Fancy also offers vegan swirls, acai bowls, and fresh fruit smoothies. Don't forget to look at some Northport homes for sale while you're in the neighborhood. 
   
   
3. Ice Cream Social: 1153 Jericho Turnpike, Commack, NY 11725
   This shop may be named Ice Cream Social, but they're worth visiting for their frozen yogurt. They serve the Only 8 brand of frozen yogurt, with two flavors "on tap" at all times. New flavors come in every Friday. Favorites include the Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel and Cappuccino.
   
   Ice Cream Social clearly labels the menu so you can tell which products are nut- and gluten-free. They have several vegan options, including tasty vegan ice cream. Enjoy your frozen dessert, then head out to look at some Commack homes for sale.
   
   
4. Lucky Penguin Ice Cream: 673 Glen Cove Ave., Glen Head, NY 11545
   After a long day of looking at Nassau County homes for sale, some frozen yogurt from Lucky Penguin Ice Cream should really hit the spot. You can place your order online, so it's ready for pickup as soon as you arrive.
   
   The yogurt milkshakes are a tried-and-true favorite at Lucky Penguin. Guests love the Chocolate Peanut Butter Milkshake, which is thick and extra creamy. The Mint Chocolate Milkshake is a bit more refreshing, and the Cappuccino Milkshake is perfect if you're in the mood for both fro-yo and coffee.
   
   
5. Yo Go Wild - 536 Commack Rd., Deer Park, NY 11729
   Yo Go Wild is a self-serve frozen yogurt shop located near many Suffolk County homes for sale. Simply fill your cup with one or more of their 18 flavors of frozen yogurt, add toppings, and weigh and pay. You can also choose any frozen yogurt flavor to make into a shake.
   
   This shop also offers acai bowls with three fruits of your choice, granola, coconut, and honey, as well as delicious crepes in a variety of flavors topped with powdered sugar and whipped cream.
